Suraj Sharma, originally from South Delhi, is an Indian film actor who made his film debut with Life of Pie. Suraj Sharma was born on March 21, 1993, and was bought in Delhi and completed his education from Delhi. He completed his studies from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. He has received the Darshan Award from St. Stephens College of Delhi University. He is currently doing a mass communication course at New York University. Suraj went with his younger brother and accompanied the Delhi Audition of "Life of Pai" and he was selected as the lead role. After graduating from St Stephen's University in Delhi, he did a course in mass communication at New York University. Suraj Sharma is from a Malayali family, his father is Gokul Churai, a software engineer from Thalassery in Kerala, and mother Shailaja is an economist. One of his brothers is Shridhar Sharma, who is also an actor and a younger sister, Dhruvara Sharma.
